Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics are first responders- trained to remain calm and collected at the scene of accidents, medical emergencies or natural disasters. They have the knowledge and skills to transport patients and provide emergency care. Although their job can be physically and emotionally demanding, many EMTs enjoy the satisfaction of knowing their work saves lives.
