Pool Player

Pocket billiards began in northern Europe outside on grass and was brought indoors in the 15th century. Tables were used in North American gambling houses where collective bets (pools) were made on horse races. Pool halls developed a culture where hustlers (sharks) would conceal skills to lure someone into betting against them. Winning at pool requires hand-eye coordination, focus and a sharp mind.
